Solar Screen Fabrics
We offer several fabric choices with the Tucson exterior solar screens.  Three are manufactured by 3G Mermet and consist of vinyl-coated fiberglass yarns, which resist stretching under tension.  Natte is heavy-duty, 10% open (blocks 90% of visible light and UV), ideal for view-through, and blocks up to 82% of solar heat gain.

Satine is heavy-duty, 5% open (more light blocking than Natte, but providing a less clear view through), and blocks up to 85% of solar heat gain.  Vienne is lighter-duty and lower-cost, 10% open, and blocks up to 82% of solar heat gain.  We recommend dark colors for optimal view through and solar heat gain reduction.

We also offer more open fabrics that are optimal for insect protection, but less optimal for sun protection.  And we have opaque fabrics (black-out), that could be used for privacy or room darkening applications
